Along with the recent announcements of MacBook Pros, AirPods 3 and even new color selections for the HomePod mini, Apple has announced that they will release a new batch of software updates on October 25.
The batch of updates that will be released will cover the iOS 15.1, iPadOS 15.1, watchOS 8.1, tvOS 15.1, macOS Monterey. These new updates are required to run the third generation of AirPods. The macOS Monterey will be powering the 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pro with the latest M1 Pro and M1 Max chipsets. It will also retain the same design as the macOS Big Sur but will include several features such as the Live Text, Focus modes, and SharePlay. The SharePlay feature, which will be available on iOS 15.1, will allow users to remotely watch and listen to streaming content as they engage in FaceTime.
Documentation for the upcoming updates can be read on Apple’s developer page.
