Apple launches new Magic Keyboard for the iPad Pro

Apple has just launched a new Magic Keyboard for the iPad Pro , making the tablet feel just like a MacBook.

With the new OLED iPad Pro (M4), the company also released the new keyboard with a few light updates. These are inclusive of a larger trackpad with haptic feedback, an aluminum palm rest, and a function row.

This comes in black or silver color options, with two sizes. There’s one for the 11-inch Pro, and one for the 13-inch variant. We’ve recently published the suggested retail prices for the freshly-released iPad Pros 22 earlier today for those interested.

But keep in mind, the keyboard is not compatible with the new 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Air models announced today. This is the same for previous iPad Pro models. Those still use the first-gen Magic Keyboard, now dubbed the Magic Keyboard for iPad Air (M2).

This is the only major revision of the iPad Pro’s Magic Keyboard since its 2020 launch. It kept the double-hinged design, single USB Type-C port (power only), upgraded the palm rest to aluminum from plastic, and added a larger glass trackpad.

Unlike the initial iteration, it also provides users with a function row. This is a feature that Apple granted the base-model iPad back in 2022 with the Magic Keyboard Folio.

But what do you guys think of Apple’s Magic Keyboard for the iPad Pro? Let us know in the comments below!
