Apple is now bringing back one of its cherished features to its iPhone and iPad which was removed without any reason causing some headaches to Apple music lovers — playback speed controls.
The feature is available for audiobooks but not on Apple Music. Good thing that they’ve reconsidered this and here’s the statement of Apple itself in a developer forum post:
We have re-evaluated our previous decision to disable changing the playback rate for subscription content from Apple Music in third-party applications, and we came to the conclusion that we could safely enable that functionality again, just like before the release of iOS 15.4.
As such, this issue is fixed in iOS 15.5 beta 4.
Some of the reaction from the forum is either they were floored or they consider this as a piece of great news for them. It may not seem like a big update, but it surely helps users to regain some comfort in terms of playback in listening to music.
