Apple has just announced that their Self Service Repair is now available which offers repair manuals and genuine Apple parts and tools through their Apple Self Service Repair Store. Currently, this is available in the US and soon will expand to other countries, starting with Europe later this year.
This new online store will provide more than 200 parts and tools allowing customers who are experienced in repairing complex smartphones to fix their own iPhone 12, iPhone 13, and iPhone SE (3rd generation) lineups in terms of display, battery, and camera. Arriving this year is the including of manuals, parts, and tools for customers to repair their Mac computers with Apple Silicon.
To begin with the Self Service Repair process, the customer has to check first the repair manual of the product they want to repair by visiting support.apple.com/self-service-repair. Next is to visit an Apple Self Service Repair store and order now the needed parts and tools.
Apple is also offering tool rental kits for USD 49 for customers who don’t want to purchase tools for just a single repair so they can’t still use Apple credited repair tools. The weeklong rental kits will ship for free to customers.
