The Apple Vision Pro has been launched in Asia as part of their global rollout.
It is now available for purchase in four markets including China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Singapore. Apple is also scheduled to expand its availability starting July 12, 2024 in the UK, France, Germany, Australia, and Canada.
Pricing for its base version (256GB) starts at CNY 30,000 (~PHP 241,000) in China, HKD 28,000 (~PHP 209,000) in Hong Kong, JPY 600,000 (~PHP 218,000) in Japan, and SGD 5,300 (~PHP 233,000) in Singapore.
The Vision Pro is notable for blending digital content with the physical world. It delivers powerful spatial experiences that transform how people work, collaborate, connect, relive memories, enjoy entertainment, and so much more.
The Apple Vision Pro features a high-resolution micro-OLED display system comprising two displays. Apple reiterated that this equates to more than a 4K TV for each eye or around 23 million pixels across both displays.
Apple mentioned that the Vision Pro’s built-in earbuds also support specs like Dolby Atmos and lossless audio. The earbuds also leverage ‘audio ray tracing’ to analyze the acoustic properties of the surroundings to optimize sound.
It will run on Apple’s spatial operating system visionOS, and will be powered by custom Apple silicon with a dual-chip design.
The Vision Pro also has a custom 3D lens that ensures that the UI always remains in view. The headset also has additional features like HDR and ‘wide color’ that deliver superb images into a user’s field of view.
Upon launch, the Vision Pro App Store is set to feature over a million compatible iOS apps and over 600 optimized for the headset.
