Tagging along with the launch of new iPhone 15 lineup is the Apple Watch Series 9. It boasts new silicon, the Apple S9, brighter display, and better Siri integration.
The new S9 chip in the Apple Watch Series 9 brings a 4-core Neural Engine that is capable of processing machine learning tasks twice as fast compared to the previous model, the Apple Watch Series 8. Thanks to the power-efficient S9 System-in-Package (SiP), the Series 9 maintains an all-day 18-hour battery life, which lasts longer up to 36 hours in low power mode.
It also allows Siri requests and health data access on-device, enhancing overall security. Moreover, Siri can process requests on the device itself, without relying on Wi-Fi or cellular networks, ensuring faster and more reliable responses, especially for tasks such as starting a workout or setting a timer.
The Cupertino giant also introduced double tap feature for both Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2. Without even touching the display, users can tap their index finger and thumb together twice to swiftly perform the most common actions on the watch.

When outdoors, the watch’s Always-On Retina display can reach a peak of 2000 nits.
The S9 SiP chip is equipped with second-generation Ultra Wideband technology, which enables Precision Finding. This advanced feature provides users with distance and direction information, as well as visual, haptic, and audio guidance to help locate a misplaced iPhone, even if it happens to be in a different room.
It runs the watchOS 10 out of the box that features a new ‘Smart Stack’ to show widgets when needed.
