Along with the Apple Watch Series 10 11, the Apple Watch Ultra 2 was announced with a new Satin Black finish. The watch still has Natural Titanium casing, with the new finish featuring diamond-like carbon coating.
The coating enhances the wearable’s scratch resistance and overall durability. Even the back crystal is made from dark zirconia to fit the new, sleek look. Plus, a new Titanium Milanese Loop was introduced for the Apple Watch Ultra.
This was designed to work with water activities with a focus on style. The band is lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and woven from aerospace-grade titanium. It even has a dual-button parachute-style buckle (with an audible clicking sound).
This runs on watchOS 11, which comes with a handful of new features. It now has a Vitals app for overnight health metrics and a new Tides app for water activity tracking. Plus, it can even detect sleep apnea and send you a notification about it.
Further, the Action button now gives more customization options. It now allows users to switch actions with a long press. The new button includes options like Voice Memos, Shazam, and Stopwatch.
The event also introduced the new Apple Watch Hermès Ultra 2. The latest edition of the wearable features a titanium buckle with a designer Hermès Maritime watch face. In addition, it includes a new En Mer band made from high-density textured knit. This provides more durability for water sports and keeps its premium feel.
The Apple Watch Ultra 2 is available in Natural and Satin Black finishes. This, along with the Apple Watch Hermès Ultra 2 and the new Titanium Milanese Loop are currently available for pre-order.
Of course, this starts in the United States for now with prices starting at USD 799 (~PHP 45,000). The official launch date is on September 20, 2024.
