Today is ASUS’ turn to spice up IFA 2018 as they launch new members to the ZenBook line. Meet the ZenBook 13, 14, and 15. These laptops still represent the brand’s whole Zen Philosophy but with a new added twist.
All three have pretty much the same specs across the board, with a few minor differences. The ZenBook 13 and 14 are the ones that are more closely specced. They sport 13 and 14-inch Full HD displays, up to Intel’s 8th Generation Whisky Lake Core i7-8565U processor, up to Nvidia’s GeForce MX150 GPU, up to 16GB RAM, a 256GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD, and Windows 10.
The 15-inch variant, on the other hand, comes with a 15.6-inch Full HD, Intel’s 8th Generation Whisky Lake Core i7-8565U processor, Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 1050 Max-Q GPU, 16GB of RAM, 512GB of PCIe NVMe SSD storage, and Windows 10.
Connectivity again is the same for the 13 and 14-inch variants. They both have a USB 2.0 Type-A, USB 3.1 Gen1 Type-A, USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C ports, an HDMI port, a combo audio port, and a microSD card reader. The 15, on the other hand, exchanges that USB 2.0 Type-A port for a faster USB 3.1 Gen1 Type-A.
As for that twist we mentioned earlier, the 13 and 14-inchers come with a LED-illuminated numpad integrated on the trackpad. It’s not virtual like the ones we’ve seen with the Zephyrus or other laptops with such. Sadly, the 15-incher doesn’t have this feature as it has its own dedicated keyboard numpad.
