ASUS has also unveiled new gaming laptops under the Strix family, the ROG Strix SCAR 15/17, and ROG Strix G15/17.
The ROG Strix SCAR 15 and 17 are pretty much the same except for a few things. The former has a 15.6-inch display and an RTX 2020 SUPER GPU, while the latter has a 17.3-inch display with an RTX 2080 SUPER GPU. Bot have 300Hz refresh rates and powered by 10th-gen Core i9-10980-HK processors and up to 32GB of 3200MHz DDR4 RAM.
Other features include RGB lighting effects, including a wraparound light bar, illuminated RGB logo, ROG Keystone II, and an aluminum skin on the lid.
For the ROG Strix G15 and G17, these laptops are powered by 10th-gen Intel processors up to Core i7, and up to RTX 2060 GPU. These have 144Hz displays but there are options for a 240Hz panel.
Both models come in Glacier Blue and Original Black, but there’s also a Strix G15 Electro Punk with dark brushed metal and sizzling pink highlights. This model comes with a 35 x 17-inch Electro Punk mouse pad, while certain regions will have bundles of coordinating peripherals that includes the laptop and pad plus a ROG Strix Go Core Electro Punk Headset, ROG Impact II gaming mouse, and a ROG Ranger backpack, all of which sport the head-turning Electro Punk color scheme.
Pricing and availability of the mentioned laptops are yet to be announced.
