DXOMark has released its camera review for the ASUS ZenFone 7 Pro with an overall camera score of 115 points.
The ASUS ZenFone 7 Pro sports a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and HDR10+support, a 5,000mAh battery with 30W fast charging. Powering the smartphone is a Snapdragon 865 Plus 5G processor, an 8GB of LPDDRM RAM, and 256 GB UFS 3.1 storage. It features a flip camera composed of triple rear camera sensors consisting of a 12MP wide-angle, 64 MP main, and 8MP telephoto.
This smartphone got a total score of 115 points at the DXOMark. Based on the review, the ASUS ZenFone 7 Pro can do well in basic photography with a few caveats. It can capture pleasant color rendering that delivers accurate color outdoors and indoors but slipping at deficient light levels. Moreover, the device flaunts a perfect score in autofocus testing.
Overall, DXOMark has rated the ASUS ZenFone 7 Pro image quality as satisfying with its good-looking photos under different conditions. However, its missteps in handling high dynamic range scenes, significant artifacts, and a problematic bokeh mode pull the score down compared to other top performers. Meanwhile, the zoom performance of the smartphone has improved with its telephoto camera. This garnered the device a rating of 122 and 100 for the photo and video category, respectively.
“The ZenFone 7 Pro’s standout quality is one that we don’t really quantify in our score: its flipping camera cluster. Performance that looks middling on a rear camera can be cutting edge by front camera standards, so mobile photographers who prioritize selfies should be sure to read our front camera review of the ZenFone 7 Pro.”
