Blackmagic Design has launched its first full-frame camera, dubbed as Pocket Cinema Camera 6K. It boasts a 24.6-megapixel sensor that allows 6K recording with dual native ISO for better low-light performance.

It can deliver 13 stops of dynamic range and dual ISO performance up to 25,600.
The new camera now uses L-mount lenses instead of Canon EF mount they used in previous models.
The Cinema Camera 6K is capable of capturing footage in a wide range of resolutions and frame rates, including DCI 4K and 6K. Additionally, it can capture high-resolution still images with up to 24.6 megapixels.
It records videos in the 12-bit Blackmagic RAW (BRAW), Apple ProRes and H.264 proxy formats. The camera cleverly allows for convenient storage of videos on a CFexpress B or an SSD directly using the USB-C port.
The camera sports a 5-inch tilting HDR touchscreen with up to 1,500 nits brightness.
It also offers a variety of audio ports, including a locking XLR port, an HDMI output, and the option to use NP-F570 batteries with a locking DC power connector.

Blackmagic Camera app
In addition to the Cinema Camera 6K, Blackmagic Design has introduced the Blackmagic Camera iPhone app. Which offers users sophisticated camera controls and aesthetics.
With just a single tap, customers can conveniently adjust settings like frame rate, shutter angle, white balance, and ISO.
They can even record directly to Blackmagic Cloud in high-quality 10-bit Apple ProRes files up to 4K, enhancing their creative workflow.
The app also supports collaboration with other users through Blackmagic Cloud, enabling seamless teamwork.
It is now available for free download 30 on the App Store.

The Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K is priced at USD 2,595 and is now on sale primarily in the US.
