Bose announced their latest audio innovation – the Ultra Open Earbuds.
The new model looks to redefine the open earbud category with an innovative cuff-shaped design.
Unlike traditional earbuds that insert into the ear canal, the Ultra Open Earbuds rest gently on the outer ear thanks to a flexible arm coated in soft silicone. This open-air design allows ambient sound to pass through while listening to music or content.
Comfort was a key focus during development, according to Bose. The lightweight yet secure fit aims to prevent pressure points and fatigue during extended use. The earbuds are also IPX4 rated, meaning they can withstand sweat or light rain.
Audio quality is powered by Bose proprietary OpenAudio and Immersive Audio technologies. OpenAudio delivers clear sound through a tightly controlled acoustic structure with minimal sound leakage. Immersive Audio provides a wider, more spacious soundstage to mimic a live audio experience.
In addition to high-fidelity playback, the Ultra Open Earbuds offer intuitive controls. A physical button on the barrel handles playback and volume. An Auto Volume feature in the Bose Music app automatically adjusts sound based on environmental noise.
The earbuds provide up to 7.5 hours of battery life per charge when fully wireless. A quick charge of just 10 minutes yields two hours of listening time. The included wireless charging case extends battery life up to 19.5 hours.
Priced at $299 (~PHP 16k), the Bose Ultra Open Earbuds are available for purchase on Bose.com and through select retailers starting today. They come in Black and White Smoke colors.
