A lot of BPI customers have reported that there were account transactions debiting or crediting their accounts. Some had multiple Php5,000 debited from their accounts while other got credited with random amounts from Php4,000 to Php30,000.
BPI has released this short advisory just now.
It’s still not clear if these were hack attacks or their system was compromised but according to BPI this is merely an error in their internal data processing. We’ll get more info within the day.
