Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) has recently launched its own e-wallet app namely Vybe that is currently available only to clients with BPI Online credentials.
BPI says that Vybe is a “one-stop lifestyle app that makes your everyday digital banking more rewarding.” With Vybe, users can send and receive money from other Vybe users, scan to pay with its partner merchants, and of course, fund transfers with BPI account for free.
It also has a rewards system that users can earn and redeem points from using various BPI products and services. Users may claim 1,000 points upon sign-up as a welcome gift according to Frederick Faustino, VP and head of digital partnerships and ecosystems at BPI.
Upcoming features of Vybe include cardless withdrawals, interbank funds transfers, bills payment, prepaid loading, and VYBE Marketplace.
Regarding wallet and transaction limits, it is currently set to Php 30,000USD 511INR 43,338EUR 487CNY 3,723 as the maximum fund that can be kept to Vybe account, and the monthly maximum cumulative limit is Php 100,000USD 1,704INR 144,460EUR 1,623CNY 12,410.
