Canon Philippines has officially launched the latest Canon EOS R3 full-frame mirrorless camera, which features a newly developed back-illuminated stacked CMOS sensor (approximately 24.1MP), new Eye Control AF, and is capable of recording 6K 60p RAW or 4K 120p 10-bit movie.
The Canon EOS R3 is a full-frame mirrorless camera based on the concept of high speed, sensitivity, and reliability. It is equipped with Canon’s 36 x 24mm full-frame backlit CMOS sensor that provides a high-speed readout. It also features a DIGIC X image processor for high-speed image processing that covers continuous shooting of up to 30 frames-per-second with AF/AE tracking.
Aside from its Dual Pixel CMOF AF Technology, the camera uses an algorithm that supports deep learning technology that enables improved head, eye, and torso detection for human subjects. Moreover, the camera is the brand’s first digital camera to feature Eye Control AF functionality. Shooting still images and looking through the viewfinder will allow the AF-Frame to adjust according to the detected movement of the user’s eye.
Canon mentioned that the Canon EOS R3 is created with weather resistances and design close to that of the EOS-1 camera series. Additionally, it features a 3.2-inch Clear View LCD touch screen, a rechargeable LP-E19 battery, Bluetooth 5.0 support, as well as a port for HDMI, external microphone, headphone socket, and a USB-C connector.
It is now available for pre-order with a special pre-selling package at any of the official Canon Philippines dealers, both retail and online, from November 15 to December 9, 2021.
The Canon EOS R3 body is priced at PHP 359,998USD 6,134INR 520,053EUR 5,843CNY 44,676, and the pre-selling package comes with a free CF Express Type-B 64GB Memory Card, CB-BP3 Premium Camera Bag, and three years Canon Official Extended Warranty (claimed through registration via Canon Red App).
