CES 2025: ASUS Launched Zephyrus G14 and G16, w/ Nebula display

Following the announcement of the Strix SCAR and Astral Series GPUs earlier today, ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) kept the momentum going with the reveal of the 2025 Zephyrus G14 and G16 gaming laptops.

These models join the expanding lineup of next-gen ROG products, which include routers, monitors, and GPUs showcased during the event.

As part of ROG’s flagship ultraportable gaming lineup, the Zephyrus G14 and G16 bring updated hardware, advanced cooling, and high-quality OLED Nebula Displays, all wrapped in lightweight designs.

The Zephyrus G14 is equipped with an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, while the G16 features an Intel Core Ultra 9 285H processor and an RTX 5090 GPU.

Both models offer up to 64GB of RAM and multiple terabytes of storage, ensuring they’re ready for everything from AAA games to multitasking and creative workflows.

These specs place the G14 and G16 at the forefront of compact gaming laptops, offering desktop-level performance in a portable package.

The G14 utilizes a thermal design covering 47% of its chassis, optimizing airflow for efficient heat dissipation in its slim frame. Meanwhile, the G16 offers two cooling configurations: one with heat pipes and Tri-Fan Technology, and another with a vapor chamber that spans 44% of the chassis.

Both setups include 2nd Gen Arc Flow Fans, which provide 11% more airflow, ensuring quieter and more efficient cooling for demanding gaming sessions or heavy workloads.

ROG equips both models with its Nebula OLED Displays.

The G14 features a 3K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, while the G16 opts for a 2.5K resolution with a 240Hz refresh rate.

Both panels support 100% DCI-P3 color coverage and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500, offering vivid, accurate visuals that cater to gamers and content creators alike.

These displays ensure smooth motion and crisp imagery for fast-paced games while delivering professional-grade color accuracy for video editing and other creative tasks.

The G14 weighs 1.5kg and measures just 1.59cm thick, while the G16 remains portable at 1.85kg and 1.49cm thick.

Both laptops feature CNC-machined aluminum chassis for durability and a sleek, minimalistic aesthetic that’s ideal for users constantly on the move.

The Zephyrus G14 and G16 will join the growing ROG 2025 lineup, which includes the Strix SCAR laptops, Astral GPUs, and other cutting-edge products.
