We’ve finally gotten final word about the release date and the suggested retail price of the Alcatel One Touch Flash Plus. This, after several inquiries and follow-up with the vendor in the last several weeks.
While our earlier report stated a target date of May 1, 2015 and a suggested retail price of Php6,990, nothing is really final until all things are cleared from different stakeholders (customs, NTC, distributor, vendor).
As such, the original plan was revised.
The release date is now scheduled for May 15. Lazada will still have exclusive distribution rights (for the first 3 months) so there will be no inventory in shops and kiosks until after August 15, 2015.
Lazada will formally announce the sale on May 12 during a media release.
The final SRP is pegged at Php6,490 for the 16GB model. Only the slate color will be released on the first batch of 2,500 units.
You can read about our first impressions and benchmark results here.
Author’s Note: We were consulted by Alcatel as to the SRP of the Flash Plus and we gave 3 price points, Php6,990 being the highest SRP of all 3 suggestions. They gave us permission to report the Php6,990 price. This is the reason why we published Php6,990 in our previous stories — and, in case they changed their minds afterwards and after we repeatedly urged them to go lower, the final SRP will still be below what we reported.

flavio says:
Laizen says:
Whew.. may 15 tapos lazada pa? Eh andami nagrereklamo sa lazada.. ill go nalang for the meizu m1 note kc pde mo pa ma test in ur hands and its fhd and higher freq.. and if u got problems in storage ehh support nmn ito ang otg… wrong move alcatel..
DRi012 says:
still waiting for the review of afp… yuga pls pakisama ung multitouch, notification led, at ung pixel density nia na 264ppi compared sa zf5(eto ung phone ko e)…
Ethan Bravery says:
Hi, ask ko lang dun sa non removable battery may reset button po ba? for ex pressing the power button for a long tine then it will forcefully shutdown? just like the Alcatel Onetouch Scribe Easy?
kent says:
Zobel says:
There should be a comparo of the following:
Firefly Mobile Intense LTE 64 Bit
Alcatel Flash +
AsusZenfone a
Meizu M1 Note
There’s really something wrong with this picture.
LJ says:
Ah eh may led notificator/indicator/indication/ notification ba ito oh wala?
Jhason says:
this is a very good budget phone!
dont ask for more with its price.
Sone says:
Abe Olandres says:
Eventually it will be available in stores.
kazuya says:
I believe it will be a bad move for Alcatel to allow the item to be exclusively offered by Lazada alone. Filipino’s are not really a big fan of online shopping. Aside from that we also want to check the item’s capability first in our own hands before buying one.. But I really do hope that Alcatel will do offer the phone in their kiosk sooner.
Abe Olandres says:
Well, based on info, Lazada is the one importing the units and distributing them.
raven says:
Abe Olandres says:
It’s the Lazada initiated price.
Samuel says:
Hindi siya full hd, saiyans.
Kenneth says:
Removable batt po ba ito ?
denmark says:
Abe Olandres says:
Not removable yung battery.
J says:
Mas gusto ko makilatis muna bago ko bilhin. Kung after 3 months pa magiging available to sa mga brick and mortar shops e baka marami nang naglabasan na ibang options.
Whatever their reason is, that is a bad move na sana di pa final tulad ng srp niya.
Makapag lynx na nga lang o mas mahal na meizu and enjoy my phone now…
jharly says:
Anderson says:
baka dahil delayed ang bentahan kaya nila binaba into 6450php yung price?
Lily says:
Akala ko May 1 ang release. Well, anywaysss mauunahan sila ng Asus.
Lem says:
TCL M2U 3N. Phone model nya sa China, currently on sale din sya sa China for 899 Yuan, 6450PHP sa atin. Bang for the buck to!
kris says:
pinagpawisan pa daw ang loko kala mo naman importante to. haha LOL
haguri says:
Im sure wala pang minuets ubos na yan sa lazada…………..at hindi rin ako marunung mag lazada lol……..12 years old pa ako kaya hindi ako marunung bumili sa mga online na yan……..sana in May 20 meron na yan sa mga kiosk store
haguri says:
.
.kung oo, Tagal naman :(
Welsh says:
Hi Abe,
Are you coming up with a full review on Alcatel Flash Plus?
It would be really great if you would release the full review daysss before the selling date (May 15).
Thank you.
archie says:
NotaSheep says:
Well, more headroom for the Meizu M1 note and the Asus Zenfone 2 now that Alcatel is “Online” exclusive… wrong move Alcatel… wrong move…
archie says:
www.kusina101.com says:
definitely, alcatel’s marketing arm is not thinking clearly. BOBO moves.
Easy E says:
Now Asus your turn.
Carlo says:
Haha, tama ang ibang local brands kase analakas mag commercial mas mahal pa sa original kawawa tuloy yung mga taong bili lng ng bili akala makakamura. ayan tuloy napapamura kapag may defect hahaha
Jhason says:
Hahaha
Alligator Kap says:
Well said bro. Well said.
LJ says:
may usb otg po ba ito?
denmark says:
eh yung mga knock2x codes?
Kcarl O Cstro says:
Abe Olandres says:
Yes
cK says:
Wew! Pinagpawisan ako konti dun ah! Buti na lang less than the published price
www.kusina101.com says:
baka naman lazada exclusive (limited and always out of stock) price lang to? pati ba sa mga physical store come august 15 ganito pa rin ang price??
www.kusina101.com says:
The 6990 price on earlier posts is Yuga’s own SRP not of alcatel’s. So it may go up if lazada decides to make this 6.5k a discounted/flash sale price and not as regular price..
klky says:
does the price really matter? 6.5k at 7k di naman nagkakalayo..so pra sakin ndi..
