AMD is slowly creeping back into the mobile PC scene with their Ryzen-based mobile platform chips. Today, it’s Dell’s turn to once again introduce a Ryzen-based laptop in the form of the Inspiron 13 7000 2-in-1. We’ve actually recently reviewed its Intel counterpart here.
The new Ryzen-based Inspiron 13 7000 2-in-1 sports almost the same specs as the Intel one, except for, of course, the Ryzen-based CPU and Vega GPU. The laptop can come in two different CPU and GPU configurations sporting either an AMD Ryzen 5 2500U with Vega 8 or AMD Ryzen 7 2700U with Vega 10. As for RAM we have options for an 8GB base (Ryzen 5 variant) or a 16GB base (Ryzen 7 variant). Then for storage, we have a 256GB SSD across all variants.
Dell is actually selling three variants, with the third having the same configuration as the Ryzen 7 one, but with added Dell 1 year premium support plus.
