Apart from Dell’s XPS 13 getting a new chip, the company will also release its first headset for Microsoft’s Windows Mixed Reality platform called the Visor.
The Visor features a well-cushioned head and face padding, thumbwheel band adjustment for personalized comfort, and smart weight balancing that takes pressure off the nose and cheeks. Its viewer has dual 1,440×1,440-resolution LCDs, and uses the same technology used in the Microsoft HoloLens with 360 degree panoramic view. It also comes with Visor Controllers, which allow users total control with haptic feedback, thumb stick and buttons fully tracked by sensors in the headset.
The Visor will be available in the U.S. in the coming months for $349.99 (~Php17,886.24), while the Controller will be available for $99.99 (~Php5,109.99). Further details on the Visor will be announced on September 1 at IFA in Berlin.
