DepEd also noted that donors should write a deed of donation for the gadgets addressed to either the department’s division office or the chosen schools for record-keeping. Benefactors are not required to install  Microsoft Office as the department has a Volume Licensing Agreement which allows the installation of the software to all devices used in public schools.

The department may also issue an “email of eligibility” to manufacturers. This will allow them to produce devices with a discounted Windows 10 Operating System.

@EmilyLazaro, HOW DID YOU KNOW THAT YOU EDUCATED YOUR CHILDREN BETTER THAN OTHER PARENTS HERE? IT’S NOT ABOUT ON HOW YOU EDUCATE YOUR CHILDREN IT’S HOW YOU SHOW THEM HOW EDUCATED YOU ARE AS PARENTS.

SOME OF PARENTS POINT HERE IS REGARDING WITH THE REQUIREMENTS NOT ALL PEOPLE CAN AFFORD THE REQUIREMENTS.

THIS IS NOT JUST BLAMING THE GOVERNMENT, IF YOU SAW IT THAT WAY, YOUR JUST LOOKING IN ONE SIDE.

EDUCATION CAN BE LEARNED BUT DIGNITY AND BE BEING HUMAN IS NOT.

I HOPE YOU CAN READ THIS @EMILYLAZARO.

  2. Juan says:

  3. Anne says:

  7. Rose Evalaroza says:

Let us help one another, comfort one another rather than throwing hardwords that may ignite dismayed feelings.. Let’s pray one another please…!

  8. Seng Ocomen says:

It is true that it is their parents responsibilities to give them education they need. Pero what if they are only “isang kahig isang tuka?” And striving to give them proper education by means of going to school only? Can you also say that to other less fortunate family? Can you also say that to the poorest of the poor? They are doing their best to give them education, but not like this! Buying gadgets for their education? When all they have is money to buy for their food. Lucky for you, I think you can afford to buy a gadget.

  9. dan says:

Its easy for for you to say that Emily, maybe your parent acquired good jobs thats why you landed to have a good education, there are poor individuals in earth for all you know. They dont want to be in the said situation but sometimes they are hopeless. magkokopra lang ang magulang, maid lang ang ermat at construction worker lang tatay. Do they dont deserve to have family, of course not. Minsan kapos lang tlga kahit anong pagsusumikap ng magulang kung di kaya ng kapasidad at sitwasyon. Of course uunahin ang pagkain. Hindi rin dapat isisi sa magulang. Asuming walang pandemia, may problema ba taong katulad nila wla sana kasi libre ang education sa public school.
In times like this, the govt shall assist in all means its contituents becuase families particularly those of lower and middle class are in financial draught. Most of them in no work no pay status or have been releived from thier jobs.

  10. Mik says:

Lol. Dapat nilagay na lang nila eh yung mga specs connected to device performance. Ano ba ang epekto ng display specs sa pag-aaral?

  11. BENG says:

Dapat maglabas na nang budget for SY 2020-2021 nang voucher for ShS.

  15. Emily Lazaro says:

Do your best as a parent to educate your children cuz you are the one who created it not Sec. Briones ,do not blame others for what is happening and always asking help to the government, do what you can also do to help the government and not what the government can do for you, Embrace the new normal! That is the best you can do to help your children and our government.

  16. Emily Lazaro says:

Your parents must earn money to buy laptops for you and your sister. It is their responsibility to do the best to educate their children.

  17. Emela Jhenicess Giner Arreglo says:

Good Morning Ma’am/Sir! This coming School Year I am grade 9 and my sister Elaine Mae will become Grade 8 We need 2 laptops for our distance learning … We are from Alabidhan Bingawan Iloilo/School: Bingawan National High School …

  18. Assiram says:

It’s stupid memorandum DepEd is issuing that kind of memo do they think that all the students can afford to buy it’s much better if they will provide for the students. They really push the school opening because they are after the MOOE Briones still carry the veins of corruption.i really dismay her idea. Like me solo parent I can’t provide it for my kids because my job has lessen the work days and I don’t even received any help from the government.

  19. Paul says:

Kinda weird that they mandated Android and totally locked out iOS for tablet and smartphone. They are more expensive, but surely there is value in having years of assured updated operating system updates? Even now there are apps that won’t run on Android 5 or 6 and the phones don’t have any newer firmware so effectively they’re just used for web browsing.

On the other hand, not specifying Windows on the PC units is just asking for equipment suppliers who acquire the lowest bid by selling them to gov’t with preinstalled Linux like Ubuntu or even worse, no operating system. They’ll just demo it with a trial version of Windows but when it arrives to you the software is different.
