The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) has announced ‘Kalasag’, the first-ever Philippine National Government-led eSports Tournament featuring Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.
The Kalasag tournament is part of the DICT’s annual celebration of the National ICT Month this June. It is open to all employees of government agencies and local government units and government-owned and controlled corporation. The mobile game title to be played is Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and will include 32 teams which will be divided into 8 groups of 4 at random.
Dates:
June 09 – Group Stage Eliminations
June 10 – Playoffs
June 11 – Semi-Finals and Grand Finals
The winning teams will be awarded cash prizes, in-game diamonds, as well as other surprises to be announced during the tournament:
• Champion – PHP 15,000USD 256INR 21,669EUR 243CNY 1,862
• 2nd Place – PHP 5,000USD 85INR 7,223EUR 81CNY 621
• 3rd & 4th Place – PHP 2,500USD 43INR 3,612EUR 41CNY 310
