DJI has announced a new and more powerful, versatile and intelligent stabilizer for film and video professionals – the DJI Ronin 2.
The DJI Ronin 2, as mentioned earlier, is a three-axis camera stabilizer with an enlarged camera cage and 50mm extendable arms allowing it to support everything from DSLRs to full cinematic cameras and lenses. Its gimbal motors, with splash-proof enclosures, are powerful enough to handle payloads of up to 30 pounds, and strong enough to resist high winds and G-forces caused when mounted to a car or in flight.
In addition, it has onboard GPS, a redesigned dual band 2.4/5.8 GHz remote, Auto Tune Stability feature, integrated touch screen with 1,000 nits of brightness, and dual hot-swappable batteries that are capable of powering the gimbal and a RED Dragon camera for 2.5 hours.
The Ronin 2 will be available in the second quarter of 2017 from dji.com, DJI Flagship Stores, DJI Authorized Retail Stores, and DJI Resellers worldwide. Pricing will be announced prior to availability.
