The Department of Health (DOH) was found to have called for bid submission of 4 units of “High-End 2-in-1 Laptop with Accessories” with a total approved budget for the contract of PHP 700,000.
The bid was posted on August 7, 2021, with a deadline of submission of quotations and proposals on August 12, 2021, at 9 AM.

The DOH posted on August 11, 2021, that it has postponed the procurement of the said laptops until further notice, saying that the “requirements stated in the Request for Best and Final Offer are for further review and revision of the End-user.”
Meanwhile, the DOH will be explaining its procurement of four “high end” laptops worth a total of PHP 700,000 “in proper channels,” the agency’s spokesperson said on August 14, in a report by Inquirer.NET.
“Kasama po ‘yan sa isasagot natin ano, dito po sa mga COA audit reports na binigay sa atin,” said Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire. “We will be answering that in the proper channels,” she added.
