The Department of Health (DOH) urges local government units (LGUs) to improve the look of their respective COVID-19 vaccination cards.
As reported by Inquirer, Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said that the vaccination cards that LGUs will issue to the inoculated should look “more legitimate.”
“We hope and we have given advice na because of this protocol, kailangan mag-improve ang ating mga local governments that they will be able to issue a vaccination card which is more legitimate at mas magagamit ng ating mga kababayan when they do their interzonal travel,” said Vergeire.
Moreover, Vergeire also mentioned that the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases had recommended the uniform implementation of the new policy.
Under the IATF Resolution No. 124-B, interzonal travelers who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 will only be required to present proof of complete vaccination instead of their negative test results. The resolution also stated that an individual is only considered fully vaccinated two weeks after receiving the second dose of the vaccine.
