The Department of Tourism (DOTr), together with Toyota, has unveiled the new modern public utility vehicle (PUV) prototype.
In photos posted through the DOTr’s official Facebook page, members of the agency, as well as representatives of Toyota Motor Philippines, tested out the Hilux modern PUV Class 1 prototype. According to the agency, the Class 1 vehicles can accommodate 9-12 people and comes with a variety of features onboard. They are fully-airconditioned, have dashcams, CCTVs, GPS, wi-fi, an Automatic Fare Collection System, and are PWD-friendly.
DOTr also mentioned that the Class 1 vehicles are priced at PHP 998,000. DOTr Secretary Arthur Tugade stated:
Modernization is not expensive, provided you make the right choice. There is always a cheaper alternative.
