Facebook’s Marketplace feature first launched in October 2016, but was only available in the US, UK, Australia, and New Zealand. This week, it has rolled out to the Philippines.
Marketplace is essentially a tool that consolidates all public For Sale posts people nearby (or within a specified radius) have posted, also allowing you to post your ad directly in it. You are able to save items for easier finding later on, as well as message the seller directly, within Marketplace.
There is also a useful “Your Items” tab that allows you to keep track of items you have posted for sale, items you have saved, and messages with sellers.
The Facebook Marketplace can be found on the lefthand side of the web version. On mobile, it’s the third tab; between friend requests and notifications.
It is indeed possible that the presence Facebook’s Marketplace can disrupt the existing local online buy and sell market, with platforms like OLX currently in the lead.
Finally. OLX app is so crap it’s useless. Sana agad magpost mga sellers sa fb.
