Facebook rolls out 3D Photos in news feed, VR

Facebook recently rolled out a feature that turns photos into a 3D image–the 3D Photos.

Users can do this by capturing a photo in portrait mode using a compatible dual-lens camera smartphone. Viewers can scroll, pan, and tilt the image to see it in 3D.

Users can also view 3D photos in Virtual Reality (VR) using the Oculus browser or Firefox on Oculus Rift. Here’s how a user can post a 3D Photo in Facebook.

The 3D Photos feature started rolling out today and will be available to everyone in the coming weeks. Facebook also provided tips on how to create a good 3D photo. Click this link here to learn more.
