Fujifilm has recently launched the fourth model under the GFX series of large format, mirrorless camera.
The Fujifilm GFX100S has a 102MP back-illuminated CMOS sensor that is about 1.7x larger than other full-frame sensors. It is powered by a quad-core X-Processor 4, producing images with good depth of field, dynamic range, color reproduction, and high-ISO. Weighing at just 900g, it has up to 6-stops of five-axis in-body image stabilization (IBIS) that is 20% smaller and 10% lighter than its predecessor.
Made with a magnesium alloy body, the Fujifilm GFX100S can be used in cold places with up to -10 degrees celsius. It is also moisture and dust-resistant, supports larger G Mount lenses, and has a tiltable 3.2-inch LCD monitor on the rear and a 1.8-inch sub LCD monitor on its top plate.
In terms of video, the GFX100S records 4K 30p video at 400Mbps 10-bit 4:2:0 F-Log internally or 10-bit 4:2:2 F-Log or 12-bit RAW externally through the HDMI.
The Fujifilm GFX100S also has 19 Film Simulation modes and supports HLG, HEVC, and 12-bit Apple ProRes RAW formats. It is compatible with a metal handgrip with Arca-Swiss tripod heads that can carry large lenses.
The Fujifilm GFX100S will be released in late February for PHP 329,990. Its MHG-GFX S handgrip is priced at PHP 8,390. The GF80mmF1.7 R WR lens with up to F1.7 aperture and autofocus for large format cameras is priced at PHP 129,990.
