Garmin unveiled its new generation of Venu smartwatches, the Garmin Venu 2 and Venu 2S.
The Venu 2 smartwatch sports a 1.3-inch AMOLED display with a 45mm watchcase and 22mm band. The display is at a 416 x 416 resolution with an optional Always On mode.
On the flip side, the Venu 2S smartwatch holds the same features but with a smaller form factor. The smartwatch sports a 1.1-inch AMOLED display, 360 x 360 resolution, and a smaller watch case and band at 40mm and 18mm, respectively.
Both models feature stainless steel bezel, fiber-reinforced polymer case, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
The Venu 2 series also features a new sleep score and insight by Firstbeat Analytics, giving the user a score based on the quality and quantity of the previous night’s sleep. The addition of its Fitness age estimates the body’s age using chronological age, activity, resting heart rate, and either body fat percentage or BMI.
Other features include built-in music, Garmin PayTM contactless payments, and smart notifications for text messages, calendar reminders, incoming calls, and more. Users may also personalize the Venu 2 series with apps, watch faces, and more available to download from the Connect IQTM store.
According to Garmin, the Venu 2 series holds 200 hours of activity data, which caters to its Health Snapshot feature and Activity profiles for HIIT workouts with on-screen animations.
Finally, the Venu 2 series boasts GPS, 5ATM water resistance, and battery life of up to 11 days for the Venu 2 and up to 10 days for the Venu 2S under the smartwatch mode, Garmin claims.
The Venu 2 and Venu 2S are priced at USD 399.99PHP 23,474INR 33,899EUR 381CNY 2,911 and are available on the Garmin website.
