If you’ve been holding out on buying your first smartwatch or upgrading to a new model, then here’s some good news. Following its global debut last week, the Garmin vivoactive 5 GPS smartwatch now makes its way to the Philippines. Starting September 29, the smartwatch will officially go on sale in the country.
The vivoactive 5 is the newest model in Garmin’s smartwatch lineup. It comes with a wide range of health monitoring features, perfect for users who want to learn more about their body and even live an active, healthier lifestyle. Some of the features the smartwatch comes with include sleep coach, Pulse Ox, heart rate monitor, and more.
There are various apps, including 30 preloaded GPS and indoor sports apps that allow users to stay active no matter their passion. These can range from walking and running to rowing, pickleball, activities for wheelchair users, and more. The vivoactive 5 can even let users create their own step-by-step workouts from more than 1,600 exercises in the Garmin Connect app and send them directly to the watch.
Using the Garmin vivoactive 5 is similar to any other smartwatch you may have owned. You have a vibrant AMOLED display, which makes it easy to read health and other data easily in various situations. According to Garmin, the battery life can even last up to 11 days, meaning less time charging and more time doing what you want to do.
As with most smartwatches, you can pair it with your smartphone to receive text messages, emails, and alerts. Those with a compatible Android smartphone can also respond to texts using the on-watch keyboard and view photos directly from the watch screen.
For those interested in the Garmin vivoactive 5 GPS smartwatch, the smartwatch retails for PHP PHP 18,830. It will be available in Garmin Brand Stores, Lazada, Shopee, and Kinetic. There are even multiple colors to choose from – black/slate, ivory/cream gold, navy/metallic navy and orchid/metallic orchid.
