Globe’s GCash has rolled out their GCash Invest Money service, allowing you to apply for and manage your investments through the GCash app.
Currently in Beta, the GCash Invest Money Service is currently available to select customers only or those who received an SMS about the service. Eligible customers may start investing in various investment funds from GCash’s partner product providers for as low as PHP 50.
Investment funds are pools of money from multiple investors who agree to invest collectively by entrusting their money to a professional fund manager, who invests the money in different financial instruments like stocks and bonds.
GCash’s partner product provider is ATRAM Trust Corporation (ATRAM Trust) which is the first stand-alone trust corporation in the Philippines. It received its license to operate in October 2016 from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP). You can learn more about them on their website (http://www.atram.com.ph/).
To start investing, just open your GCash app and tap ‘Invest Money’. Simply proceed with your registration by reviewing your personal details and answering some questions, including the risk profiling questionnaire which tells you what type of investor you are. Once submitted, we’ll update you via an SMS and email notification when your registration is approved, and you can start using GCash Invest Money.
You can visit the GCash Invest Money website at https://www.gcash.com/invest-money/ for more information.
