Globe has recently partnered with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) to provide free data access for its TESDA Online Program (TOP).
The partnership allows Globe and TM prepaid and postpaid subscribers to learn online courses without incurring any data charges and load through its website.
However, learners are required to use mobile data or WiFi connection for accessing materials, courses, and other resources that may be accessed through links outside the TOP website. This includes videos uploaded on video-sharing platforms, as well as courses and links by partners and other organizations.
TOP is an education platform that offers free technical vocational education and training (TVET) online courses. Among courses offered are Computer Systems Servicing National Certificate (NC) II, Food Processing NC II, Bread and Pastry NC II, Housekeeping NC II, and other courses from automotive, agriculture, entrepreneurship, and healthcare sectors, among others.
Previously, Globe provided free data access to the Department of Education’s online learning platform, DepEd Commons, to provide free supplementary online instructional materials and resources for students and instructors.
YugaTech.com is the largest and longest-running technology site in the Philippines. Originally established in October 2002, the site was transformed into a full-fledged technology platform in 2005.
