Globe has launched its very own National SIM Registration Week starting today, February 20, 2023, providing assistance desks in around 500 locations nationwide to help its customers register their SIM cards.
Globe says that the SIM registration week is its means of reaching out to its patrons, particularly senior citizens, PWDs, pregnant women, basic phone users, and those with no internet access, to register their SIMs before the April 26, 2023 deadline set by the SIM Registration Act.
Aside from the National SIM Registration Week, Globe has introduced other measures to get their customers to register their SIMS such as opening assisted SIM registration in over 30 Puregold branches, putting up registration booths in 15 different areas, and enabling one-step registration for its postpaid and platinum users.
The SIM Registration Act requires the registration of all SIMs as a major measure against the proliferation of criminal activity, including smishing and other mobile phone and online scams that have spread due to the anonymity of unregistered SIMs.
If you haven’t registered your SIM, you can check out our guide on where you can register it right here.

It must be noted that Globe has more subscribers yet it falls behind smart when it comes to registered owners (million or near million yata ang gap). Baka globe ang home of the scammers kasi most of the spam sms I get ay globe ang number mmhhh.
