Globe introduces Voice Over LTE (VoLTE) service, along with Voice Over WiFi (VoWiFi), that improves voice call experience for its subscribers.
Powered by the 4G LTE network, calls made on VoLTE have better audio quality and connects users faster compared to the usual calls done through 2G and 3G. It uses voice and data simultaneously, allowing seamless multi-tasking and sharing information from the web or apps while on a call.
WiFi calling or commonly known as VoWiFi, on the other hand, allows calls to be routed over Wi-Fi. This extends network coverage in areas with poor signal quality. Subscribers can use the service to make and receive voice calls in high-definition as long as they are connected to a stable Wi-Fi connection.
Globe also shared that VoLTE and VoWiFi services do not consume mobile data. The former uses an LTE signal while the latter employs WiFi network connectivity to initiate and accept calls. When using the said services, customers won’t be charged additional fees on top of regular voice call rates or subscriptions.
The VoLTE and VoWiFi services will be available in NCR and to selected Globe Postpaid and Business subscribers with Samsung, Huawei, and Nokia smartphones on May 14, 2020.

huli na ang globe, talong talo ng smart pagdating sa speed at coverage. Pero hindi ibig sabihin na maganda ang services ng smart at PLDT. Way below world standards pa rin ang Smart at PLDT lalo na ang customer service nila.
