Globe tightens security process over Change SIM (CSIM) requests

Since it has become common practice for people to use smartphones when doing online banking there’s a higher incidence of fraud or identity theft. Therefor, Globe is taking additional precautions and implemented stricter controls to protect the data of its customers.

If you lost or damage your SIM card, Globe will offer to replace the old SIM with a new one (including a new number). However, if you want to retain your old number, Globe will ask for the following requirements: the old SIM (if available), the SIM card bed, and G-Cash card (if registered). The replacement SIM will be released after 24 hours.

Globe will also require you to fill out CSIM request forms and CRM notes for documentation purposes. Once done, you will undergo post-checking through Q and A to ensure compliance. There will also be a limit to allowable incorrect answers.

    is it the card that the sim came with that contains the SIM # & PUK’s
    if thats the case i could never have my sim replace

    • Yes

    • Have it replaced now while you still have the sim.

  4. They’ll ask you questions like when’s the last time you loaded your prepaid sim, what promo did you registered in the last week.. amd they want detailed answers and I think it’s ridiculous in the sense that you’ll look like a fraud if you can’t answer their questions in detail..

    I requested a sim change last month from ordinary to LTE sim, it’s free but they asked me questions and I told them I’m not good at memorizing but they still changed my sim..

    • If you have the original sim card they will change your sim regardless anyway, but a lost sim card is another case.

  5. It’s better to call it sim plate than sim card bed.

    Simple lang naman dapat gawin. Dapat personal ng magpunta ang owner ng sim and answer some relevant questions only the true owner can answer. Wag na nilang payagan ang pinakiusap lang. Yan kasi ang modus ng mga masasamang tao. Kunwari bf or gf or asawa etc. Wag na nilang payagan ang ganun.

    • ask ko lang po kasi yung retailer sim ko po nawala at may laman pa na load yun, pwed ko po ba etransfer yung load to another retailer sim po?

  7. tanong lng po kasi nwala po phone ko last jan 28,2019 .and then andun po yung gacsh sim ko kpag pinabloked ko po ba yung simcard ko ng gcash maaapektuhan po ba yung gcash atm card ko po . ? at pwede po ba ako magpareplaced ng new sim card but the same number ko before ? thank you po sa mkakasagot ^_^

I would like to ask if there’s no way for me have my sim card back since I lost as well my simbed containing my PUK PINS. What should I do then? Could someone help me? Thank you!

  13. Nawala po yung prepaid sim ng Globe at home modem ko. Pano ang gagawin pra makabili ulit ng Sim exclusive for modem lang?hndi kasi pwede ang regular sim lang . Thank you

  15. isang buwan na nawawala cp ko kasama ang globe prepaid sim card at hindi kopa napapa duplicate sa globe center.. kung saka sakali po kaya maipapa duplicate kopa ba yung sim card ko? oh hndi na. ? naka active at full verified ung G cash acount ko sa sim card ko na un at marami account na yung simcard kona un ang pang verified .. .. bale ang tanung ko kung mapapa duplicate kopa ba kaya kahit 1 mont na hindi na active ang sim ko

      pwede mo naman paduplicate yun basta nasayo ung card na pinag alisan ng sim,

      and once na sayo na yun new sim mo, madedeactivate na yung old sim mo po

  16. i lost my phone, with my sim in it last May 22 2019.. now, how can i get a new sim using the same number i lost? i want my number back. and i have lots of info in there. also the number is link to different accounts.

    • i have the same problem .. do you think we can replace it if we go to globe stores ? i lost my phone, my sim, and its a freakin big problem since my number is linked to my ig and twitter account. Does anyone here na pinayagan ng glob magreplace kahit wala yung sim and sim card bed ?

  17. If you would like to request for a new sim card with the same number , just bring a copy of 2 valid ID’s po and affidavit of loss.. Dapat po report agad within 2 months from the the time na nawala.

  30. Simula nang nag pa sim card replacement ako. Pag sinasalpak ko yung simcard ko sa kahit anong cellphone may nag papop up na “Please wait. Your request is being processed.” Nakaka istorbo kasi pag naglalaro at nanonood ng netflix. Pahelp naman salamat

Ano po ba ang dapat kung gawin?

  33. 4 days na ko nag aupgrade ng sim hanggang ngaun hindi pa na aupgrade. Labas ng labas ung sim tool kit kahit naipasok ko na ung password. Mayamaya naman ung your request is being process.. At paulit ulit na message ng 2621 na Please text “CSIM” with your OTP to 8888 from your phone ….bat ganun?
