Globe to start charging Php50 for late bill payments

In a recent billing statement sent to subscribers, Globe Telecom has notified customers that it will start collecting additional fees for late payments.

This means that if you don’t pay your Globe bills on time, they will charge you an extra Php50.

Here’s the scanned copy of the announcement lifted from the recent billing statement.

I’m already enrolled in a auto-debit arrangement with my credit card company so this isn’t a problem anymore.

However, we believe that majority of subs will stick to the manual payment process. This is just a detail you need to watch out for.

  1. What a great way to lose more customers

    • Why? Do you enjoy paying late? What do you think happens if you pay your school fees late? How about your electricity and water bills?

    • no i dont, I will tell you though, I dont enjoy late texts, dropped calls, poor internet connections. pretty ironic tagline though, “RESIST MEDIOCRITY”

  2. hehe kailangn talaga may charge pag late? Kuryente ba to?

  4. I wonder what will happen if it’s the bank’s error… What if even after paying online, some system glitch causes it to post late?

    • Non sequitur. Obviously, fee is waived.

    • Stupid! Do you work for Globe?

  5. dito siguro nila kukunin yung nagastos nilang $700M modernization.. hahahha

  7. I think they have a right to demand 50 pesos for late payments.

    Subscriber USED their services.
Telecom gave them ENOUGH time to pay their dues.
Payments can be made almost anywhere (7/11, ministop, bayad centers, banks, etc).

Reklamo na naman agad. Isn’t it your duty to settle your bills on time?

    • They actually bill you a month or three in advance. When you pay a particular month’s bill, technically you’re paying for future usage.

    • “They actually bill you a month or three in advance” – No their not. Your monthly bills shows you when and what numbers you called within that billing period. How can they bill you for future use? On signup they ask for deposits and advance payments, maybe that’s what you’re referring to?

I just pay my bills on time.

    • I agree with all of you. pero the thing is kung bayad time dapat talaga mag bayad. since you’re consuming it they have the right of asking charges for late payments.

isa pa, with my experience with globe as postpaid both wireline and wireless pag me problema me REBATE akong natatanggap.. is that not the same effort of sisingilin mo rin si globe? hehehe experience lng to ha.

      no offense :)

    • in my case… wimax sub ako… one month advance ung bill… parang di naman tama na may late payment charge… kc di pa naman siya late… di mo pa nga nagagamit… pinapabyaran na… pero i agree na they have the right to charge for late payment provided… dapat di advance ung billing…

    • Gentlemen:

The Monthly Recurring Fee (MRF) is always a month in advance. The calls that are reflected are the calls made during the statement period indicated which may or may not exceed the advance payment made.

That is the reason why when you first signed up and paid for your first bill, an adjustment is made to reflect the period when you first signed up until the 1st day of the indicated billing period PLUS the Monthly Recurring Fee (MRF).

  8. What about for those times na wala silang signal? Will they credit it? Lakas nila sumingil pero pag sila yung palpak TY nalang?

  9. I have a feeling this is a good reason to switch back to prepaid services. Nice going, Globe.

  10. Hmm. Ayos yan!

    Simple. Magbayad ka on-time.
