Google announces YouTube TV

As an alternative to watching your favorite TV shows on cable, Google is announcing the new YouTube TV which is a subscription-based service that lets you watch content anywhere and anytime you want.

YouTube TV offers live streaming from networks like ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, and ESPN among other popular cable stations. There are local stations as well based on where you live and if you still want more shows, you may add to your list for an additional fee.

The service also offers a cloud DVR so you can record live TV (and not worry about running out of storage space), watch on different devices, get into YouTube Red Originals without ads, and pay for one price with up to six accounts.

A monthly fee of $35 gets you a membership on YouTube TV. As of now, it is only limited to the US market with no word if interested subscribers outside the country could avail of it.
