Google Circle to Search can now features instant translation

Google has announced that Circle to Search is getting an instant translation feature.

This came with the announcement that Circle to Search would be rolling out for the Pixel 7a and the Pixel 6 series.

The translation happens in-line, with the translated text replacing the originally input text. It’s a simple integration, with users applying Circle to Search as per usual.

Here’s an X post detailing how it works in a short video below.

You just have to tap on the new Translate icon that shows up on the right of the Google bar!

But as usual with Google rollouts, it’s unclear how far this has been able to spread. If you want to use this right away, you might need the latest beta Google app for Android.

And of course, readers should keep in mind that they also need smartphones that can support Circle to Search too.

Among these few handsets are the Pixel 6 series onwards, Samsung’s Galaxy S24 series, the Galaxy S23 series, the Galaxy Z Flip5, and the Galaxy Z Fold5.

If you have these devices but haven’t gotten this feature yet, just wait a bit! Google rollouts can sometimes take a while to conclude. It’s surely on the way, but to be transparent it should take days to weeks for end users.
