Google Duo now allows users to send doodles and notes

After listening to community feedback, Google has now added note sending and doodle functionality to its video calling app, Google Duo.

Overall, there are five font styles to be used: Modern, Bold, Classic, Sweet, Bubbly. For doodling, Google included three pen stroke types with varying thickness and nine available colors to choose from! Lastly, users can also change the background of the notes to either black, pink, purple, blue, green, red, orange, and yellow. Just like calls, the notes are also end-to-end encrypted.

To use notes, drag down from the Google Duo app and tap on “Note” on the lower right side of the screen. From there, you can choose to doodle with the squiggly line icon or type by tapping on the screen. To change background colors, tap on the palette icon on the right of the Send To icon.

The update should be up starting today and should be available for everyone by the end of the week.
