Google revealed early access to the ChromeOS Flex and can now be installed on Windows- or Mac-based machines. Basically, your laptop, PC, or Mac can now be turned into a Chromebook or Chromebox for free.
Google pushes out the Flex as an affordable option for business and the education sector to be able to release a mass of Chromebooks at less expense.
The Chrome OS Flex is based on the same code as the Chrome OS that is pre-installed on Chromebooks. This means getting access to a full operating system, Google Assistant integration, monthly updates, Google Play Store support, etc.
