Grab and Ninja Van has announced that they will enter into a strategic partnership to strengthen each of their services in the Southeast Asian region.
In a report from ChannelNewsAsia, the said partnership will compose of Grab investing an undisclosed amount into Ninja Van, as well as integrating their services into Grab’s ecosystem which will be available to the public in Q2 2019. The partnership with Ninja Van will also enable Grab to expand its GrabExpress service across more cities in the region and will also likely add or improve its services including scheduled, nationwide, and inter-city deliveries.
Ninja Van, on the other hand, will work into integrating GrabPay as part of its payment methods, as well as collaborate with Grab to roll out lending and insurance products to investors and delivery partners. “We’re excited about this partnership and how it will change the game for smaller businesses and social selling communities in Southeast Asia, even for consumers who may send parcels from time to time,” said Mr. Lai Chang Wen, co-founder, and CEO of Ninja Van.
Ninja Van currently serves 450 cities in Southeast Asia, including the Philippines, and is more known for next-day deliveries for e-commerce merchants including Shopee.
