Grab Philippines has launched the GrabAcademy online platform to provide its drivers and delivery partners free access to new learning and development opportunities.
According to Grab, the GrabAcademy introduces new learning and development courses for drivers and delivery partners., teaching them its three pillars along with online courses on taxation and vehicle sanitation:
• Safety across the platform – GrabAcademy, in partnership with the Food Safety and Hygiene Academy of the Philippines (FoodSHAP), will offer specialized learning modules on proper food handling and delivery, as well as proper sanitation of vehicles.
Additionally, Grab Philippines will introduce new road safety courses with experts on road safety from Alt Mobility PH. Furthermore, learning courses on Data Protection, Crime Prevention, Detection, and Anti-Harassment will be given.
• Growing within the platform – GrabAcademy will provide performance and service courses that enhance its partners’ proficiency on the platform. The learning pillar will include refresher courses on the general code of conduct, driver-cancellation policy, and service quality standards.
• Thriving beyond the platform – Moreover, courses that cover entrepreneurship, baking, farming, and milk tea-making will be offered to its partners. Under this pillar, Grab Philippines will be working with local government units and agencies to expand GrabAcademy and offer a range of vocational courses on the platform.
Grab notes that its latest collaborations included Microsoft to provide Grab partners access to Microsoft’s Digital Literacy certification program via the Grab driver app. Six basic courses will cover computer basics, online communication, and creating and managing digital content. Upon completion, driver-partners will be awarded a Microsoft certification—courses will be available in English and Filipino.
Grab driver and delivery partners will receive a Certificate of Completion upon accomplishing the GrabAcademy courses, which can be registered for via the Grab Driver app.
