Grab recently posted their official statement on their Facebook page regarding LTFRB’s order on accepting new drivers in their company.
In their statement, Grab has asked their passengers to bear with them as there is an increase in their bookings since Uber’s operations has been suspended from LTFRB’s order (see article here.)
They also said that they have capped their fare matrix at 1.4x and has regulated the threshold for passenger surges to control the fares.
Lastly, Grab thanked their peers and their drivers for putting efforts in catering the increase of passenger demands on their operations.

Honestly, I prefer uber kesa sa grab.
Jayson says:
Grab has more promos compared to Uber and more often that it is more affordable than Uber.
Lexi says:
I prefer Uber, hands down. Sa Uber, they can also cancel you pero mas mabigat ang effect nyan sa driver. Also, for some reason, mas friendly ang mga driver ng Uber keysa sa Grab, and most of the time mas mababa ang fare ng Uber.
What if yung pasahero is a PWD na they found that uber was more convenient kasi right at their own place pede na sila masundo then papasok sa work. So kung mag-grab ung PWD malamang sa malamang makakaranas ng hindi maganda yan due to cancellations.
Ronald says:
I dont think so. Have you tried checking both at the same time? I have the 2 apps installed. I check each one of them whenever I need to book a ride. I always find uber cheaper than grab. Though yung grab mas maraming promo na parang binabalik lang nila sa mga passenger ung binabayad pero still when on a tight budget hindi ko na iisipin pa ung promo what I need is what I can pull out of the pocket on that day. Maybe you can give advise how we can make it cheaper sa grab than uber gaya ng sinasabi mo.
FerdieR says:
Based on my experience, almost always mahaba ang rate ng uber compared sa grab. Twice daily ako nag-uber and most of the time, I check din rate sa grab to compare. In addition, kapag walang available sa uber most probably wala din sa grab. One thing I like about grab is ung multipoint dropoff.
