Grab rolls out Rent by Grab in the Philippines

Grab PH is beefing up its services by announcing its new ‘Rent by Grab’ in partnership with Hertz PH. This is a car rental service with an array of vehicles to meet every car rental needs.

The user can book via Rent by Grab 24/7 but the user has to take note of the service hours from 8 am to 6 pm. The available service hours for the Rent by Grab are 4, 8, and 12 hours. The types of vehicles that can be booked are sedans (max of 3 pax), MPVs (max of 6 pax), and vans (max of 14 pax).

Moreover, a person can book this service for now in Makati, Pasay, Pasig, Mandaluyong, BGC, and Taguig. Another is that the drop-offs are only within Metro Manila. A person can do advance booking via the ‘Later’ option but the user has to take note that users can do advance booking for at least 4hrs but not more than 2 days.

In terms of payment of this service, cashless payment is the only option allowed now. The fare displayed on the app already includes rental, driver, and fuel, while other fees like toll, parking, and entrance fees are shouldered by the lessee.

The user can communicate with their driver via the GrabChat, a call function is ready in the app and there’s also a number from the allocation notification that the user received. If the driver won’t arrive at the agreed location 30mins after the agreed time, the user will be refunded in full amount.

    Just a correction lang according to Grab Help Centre page sa Grab App”If you are not at the agreed location 30 minutes after the agreed time, the driver will collect the full fare and return to their dispatch area”

    The user won’t get a refund but instead the full fare will be charged instead.
