HONOR Pad 9 Pro now official: MTK Dimensity 8100 SoC, 144Hz display

We just recently got our hands on the HONOR Pad 9 15, and now, the brand has announced its Pro variant: the HONOR Pad 9 Pro

This new model bears the same display size as the vanilla version; but brings back the design we saw from the HONOR Pad X9. There’s the pill-shaped camera island on the right corner of the rear panel that’s also in a unibody metal chassis.

It even comes with a new Sky Blue colorway for those looking for a more pop of color. One upgrade is it now has an LED flash beside its 13MP rear camera.

At the front, it features the same 12.1-inch TFT LCD panel, but it now runs at a faster 144Hz refresh rate. The selfie camera is a bit of a downgrade, though, opting for a 5MP sensor rather than an 8MP from the Pad X9.

Another major difference is the chipset. The brain behind the HONOR Pad 9 Pro’s operation is a MediaTek Dimensity 8100. Its battery is also bigger, rated at 10,050mAh paired with 35W charging.

Despite the increase in size, Honor managed to make the tablet even slimmer, measuring only 6.64mm.
