Video streaming service HOOQ is now available at a lower starting price — from Php199 to Php149.
Once more, HOOQ gives its users access to over 10,000 movies and TV series including titles from local partners. Being exclusive to Globe users, this service is available on GoSurf and Tattoo Postpaid plans and can be had for a starting price of Php149.
This could be a move to close in on its counterpart, PLDT Home and Smart’s iFlix that starts at Php99 per month.
For more information on HOOQ’s services, you may proceed to Globe’s page.

I use openSUSE Linux and if it weren’t for the Silverlight ek-ek, I would have been a subscriber.
You have to kill (illegal) torrents for this to work.
Not really. Why bother downloading the show if you can just stream it on the service?
Availability, or lack thereof, Solidad. Good luck trying to get Netflix streaming to work here (as supposed to downloading.) And frankly, until availability of TV series improves drastically here (say, we get it at the SAME airtime as the US, say air live then primetime airing) torrenting and downloading are still king.
Aside from torrents, you can install Kodi (plus the Genesis add on) on android and windows to stream movies and tv shows for free. TV show episodes from the US are available a few hours after airtime.
