Huami recently launched the first-ever curved smartwatch, the Amazfit X, on the Indiegogo website. Now with an upgraded AMOLED display and minimalist design, the smartwatch offers several intelligent features.
Compared to its predecessors, the Amazfit X sports a 2.07-inch AMOLED HD curved display that can go up to 400 nits of brightness which is pretty decent when used outdoors. With a curvature of 92-degrees, its full metal unibody perfectly fits on anyone’s wrist. Its button-free design allows more room for apps, integrating a pressure-sensitive sensor for seamless scrolling.
Setting a new standard for daily heart rate monitoring, the smartwatch is equipped with a bigger BioTracker? PPG sensor. It also has a Double GPS for more accurate tracking of location, speed, and distance.
In terms of health-related features, the smartwatch has 9 versatile Sports Modes that offer customizable tracking and coaching for every activity. Its Personal Activity Intelligence (PAI) gives users simplified assessments, helping them to set and reach their fitness goals. Apart from measuring the oxygen level in the body, it also tracks and provides insightful data about your sleep and stress level.
Among other features of the smartwatch include water resistance up to 50m, customizable watch faces, Smart Notification, Nap and Do Not Disturb modes, and Sedentary and Event reminders. Powered by a high-powered lithium battery, the Amazfit X can last up to 7 days on a single charging. Currently, it uses a magnetic charger to fill up its battery.
The Amazfit X is now available for pre-order via Indiegogo’s website. It comes in two variants: Eclipse Black and New Moon Gold. Pre-orders will be accepted as long as there are available slots. Early birds can get it for only USD 149 (one smartwatch) and USD 298 (two smartwatches), respectively. It has a suggested retail price of USD 179 (one smartwatch) and USD 358 (two smartwatches). The estimated shipping date is scheduled in August 2020.
