Huawei has officially unveiled its newest midrange phone, the Huawei Enjoy 70X, in China. features a unique satellite SMS support and a massive 6,100 mAh battery with 40W wired charging.
In terms of display this devices packs a 6.78-inch curved OLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It also has a pill-shaped notch which houses an 8MP selfie camera and an in-display fingerprint scanner for secure access.
Huawei also added a programmable “X Button” on the side, letting users quickly access apps, widgets, or contacts.
The back of the device, camera modules packs a 50MP main camera with a 1/1.56” RYYB sensor, paired with a 2MP depth camera.
While Huawei hasn’t confirmed the processor, speculation points to the Kirin 8000A 5G chipset. This six-core CPU, combined with the Mali-G610 GPU and 8GB of RAM, is said to deliver performance comparable to the Snapdragon 695.
Like mentioned eariler the standout feature is the phone’s support for Beidou satellite connectivity, enabling users in China to send and receive SMS messages and images in areas without network coverage also The device runs on HarmonyOS 4.2.
The Huawei Enjoy 70X is available in Gold Black, Snow White, Lake Blue, and Spruce Green. Prices in China start at CNY 1,799PHP 14,259USD 246INR 21,122EUR 239 (~PHP 14,000USD 241INR 20,628EUR 233CNY 1,767) for the 128GB model and go up to CNY 2,299PHP 18,222USD 314INR 26,993EUR 305 (~PHP 18,200USD 313INR 26,816EUR 303CNY 2,297) for the 512GB variant.
Reservations are open now, with shipping set to begin on January 10.
No word yet on whether Huawei will make this compatible with the global market in the future, as the satellite feature is currently exclusive to China.
