Huawei Mate 30, Mate 30 Pro now official

Huawei has finally released its newest flagship Mate series smartphones at Germany — the Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro.

Huawei’s take on the Mate 30 series comes with a new halo-ring camera design which comes with a circular shape that resembles a professional camera. It also has a new screen technology called the Horizon display which reaches up to 88-degree angle.

For the Mate 30 Pro, it comes with a 6.53-inch OLED FHD display, Kirin 990 chipset, 40MP Cine Camera + 40MP SuperSensing + 8MP Telephoto + 3D Depth Sensing quad-cameras, and 4,500mAh battery with wireless supercharge technology.

The Mate 30 has a larger 6.62-inch display, Kirin 990 chipset, 40MP SuperSensing + 16MP Ultra-Wide + 8MP Telephoto triple rear cameras, and 4,200mAh battery with SuperCharge.

Both devices come with new features such as Smart Gesture, In-Car Wireless SuperCharging, 21 Antennas, and Side-touch Interaction feature that replaces the physical volume rockers. They also have the Always-On-Display which changes the color of the lock screen throughout the day.

Huawei’s new AI Auto-Rotate technology follows your eyes and automatically rotates the screen orientation.

Apart from the usual Mate 30 series devices, the Porsche Design Huawei Mate 30 RS is also introduced which features the premium car brand’s leather-based premium design.
