The HUAWEI Mate X6 is coming soon, and now its global rollout is underway. This flagship foldable is a direct successor to the Mate X5 that was launched in China over two weeks ago.
As a quick recap, the device offers notable improvements in its cameras and battery. It boasts 6.45-inch (cover) and 7.93-inch (main) OLED displays with FHD+ resolution.
Optics include a 50-megapixel main shooter, 40-megapixel telephoto camera, and a 40-megapixel ultra wide at the rear. One of its key features is Huawei’s Ultra Chroma Camera, which captures 1.5 million spectral channels to offer richer colors.
For its global version, the device will run on EMUI 15 out of the box. It will also pack a 5,110mAh battery with support for 66W wired, 50W wireless, and 7.5W reverse wireless charging.
Notably though, its chipset is still kept under wraps. Known details so far is that it will have a 12-core CPU and a GPU that clocks at 840 MHz. This is a developing story, and Huawei has yet to confirm this.
The HUAWEI Mate X6 is expected to be widely available when deliveries begin on January 6th. Pricing for the foldable with 12GB/512GB is at EUR 1,999PHP 123,150USD 2,099INR 177,889CNY 15,287 (~PHP 122,000USD 2,079INR 176,241EUR 1,980CNY 15,140).
